Generic Tradjenta (Linagliptin)

Common use

Tradjenta is prescribed for the management of type 2 diabetes mellitus. It works by inhibiting the DPP-4 enzyme, which increases levels of incretin hormones. This helps the body release more insulin after meals and decreases glucose production in the liver, supporting better blood sugar control.

Dosage and direction

Tradjenta is taken once daily, with or without food. Swallow the tablet whole. Your healthcare provider may prescribe it alone or together with other diabetes medications such as metformin, insulin, or sulfonylureas. Follow your doctor’s instructions closely.

Precautions

Missed dose

If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is close to your next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not take two doses at the same time.

Overdose

Storage

Store Tradjenta at room temperature, protected from moisture, heat, and light. Keep the medication in its original packaging and out of reach of children.
