Generic Isentress (Raltegravir)

Common use

Isentress (raltegravir) is prescribed for the treatment of HIV-1 infection in combination with other antiretroviral medications. It works as an integrase inhibitor, blocking the enzyme HIV integrase, which is necessary for viral replication, helping to control the infection and maintain immune function.

Dosage and direction

Isentress is taken orally, usually twice daily, with or without food. Tablets or chewable formulations should be swallowed whole (or chewed if appropriate). Precautions
